Welcome to TapPlaque. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and your purchase of our products. By placing an order or using this site, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Who we are

TapPlaque is an independent Canadian company that sells NFC "tap-to-review" plaques and related digital products. TapPlaque is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or Meta. "Google," "Google Maps," and related marks are the property of their respective owners. Our products are tools that help businesses invite and collect reviews on those third-party platforms.

2. The product

The TapPlaque card is a glossy acrylic plaque (approximately 10×10 cm, 3 mm thick) with a 3M adhesive backing and an embedded NTAG213 NFC chip. When a customer taps the plaque with an NFC-enabled smartphone, the phone opens the Google review destination we program for your business. No app or QR code is required. Every plaque is programmed and tested before it ships.

3. Setup information & your responsibility

Because each plaque is pre-programmed to your specific business listing, you are responsible for providing your exact business name and address as they appear on Google Maps at checkout. We program your plaque to the listing you provide. If the information you give us is incorrect, incomplete, or does not match a live Google listing, the plaque may direct customers to the wrong place or fail to resolve. Re-programming or replacement due to incorrect information supplied by you may be treated as a new order.

4. Reviews, compliance & no guarantees

TapPlaque sends every customer directly to your public review destination. We do not "gate" reviews, filter out negative feedback, or route customers based on their rating — a practice that violates Google's policies. You agree to use the product in compliance with the terms and review policies of any third-party platform, and not to offer incentives in exchange for reviews or otherwise manipulate reviews. TapPlaque does not guarantee any particular number of reviews, ratings, ranking, or business outcome. Results depend on your customers and your own use of the product.

5. Orders, pricing & payment

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are one-time charges unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, refuse or cancel orders, and limit quantities. Payment is processed securely through Shopify and its payment partners.

6. Digital products ("The Method")

Certain products — including supplier information, guides, and template bundles — are digital and delivered electronically. Because they are delivered instantly and cannot be returned, digital products are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded, except where required by law. Digital products are licensed to you for your own personal and business use; you may not resell, redistribute, or publicly share their contents.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this site — including the TapPlaque name, logo, designs, text, and images — is owned by TapPlaque or its licensors and is protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it without our written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TapPlaque and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or website, including any loss of reviews, revenue, or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

9. Warranty

Our products are covered by the guarantee and warranty described in our Refund & Warranty Policy. Except as expressly stated there, products are provided "as is."

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which TapPlaque operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of that province.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the version that applies to your use of the site and your order.
